Insights from the Tapping World Summit

This week I chose to write about the insights and wisdom shared by wonderful EFT Practitioners on the Tapping World Summit. I took the time to go on this virtual retreat by listening to the many voices on the summit.

Every Practitioner was emphasizing this idea of how we can get caught up in our emotions because it keeps us safe and how tapping brings us back to our bodies and ground ourselves in the here and now. From insomnia to pain relief, from limiting beliefs to relationship issues, from worry and fear to courage, confidence, clarity, and forgiveness, there was an amazing line up of topics covered by all the speakers with elegance. I felt restored and rejuvenated by the end of ten days listening and tapping along with all the experts.

One of the topics that stood out for me was “Tapping to address burn out” by Alex Ortner. Whether you are a home maker, a care giver, a new mom, in employment or run your own company, burn out can happen to all of us.

I hear this from my friends and family all the time. Alex shared that burn out can affect our productivity leading to self-doubt, lack of focus and feel like we are falling back and failing in our tasks.

Avoiding burn out does not mean we have to stop working. It only means taking some time for self-care, getting clear on our priorities, organizing and saying ‘No’ when we need to without feeling guilty, asking for help when needed and saying “Yes” when someone offers to help. All of this can help to improve and increase our productivity.

For some of us this can be very easy and for some this can be a daunting task, especially saying ‘No’ and maintaining healthy boundaries.

We are a work in progress, and the more we tap voicing our emotions-the worry, fear, sadness, anger, frustrations and disappointments, we dissipate the energy, soften the emotions and open ourselves to infinite possibilities, opportunities, and miracles in our life.

I always hear this from clients as to how things shifted for them after integrating tapping into their routine.

Please email me if you would like to be included in the drawing for a free session. (This will be for February and March).

I will be drawing two names.

Wishing you peace and happiness!!

Until next time, keep tapping!!

New Year and Intentions

New Year is a time when all of us set goals in different areas of our life. If you have goals or intentions for your health and weight loss is in the plan, I encourage you to read “Seven Secret Reasons – Why you can’t lose weight and keep it off” written by Rob Nelson. The book will be released in the first week of February.

I got the privilege of reading the draft and the free copy of the book as I was included as part of the book launch to write a review. Even if you have reached your weight goals and you are in great health, I encourage you to read this book as this is a journey into healing and transformation eventually leading to weight loss.

When we think about food, and lifestyle modifications it is very important that we follow a plan that is sustainable. When tapping is added to this plan, sustenance and maintenance becomes easy and effortless.

Research shows that tapping reduces the cortisol (major stress hormone) levels in our body. When the levels of this hormone is reduced, the fat begins to melt away, cravings reduce, and our relationship with food, and our body changes.

Our body is a conduit of all our emotions. Tapping helps us to be grounded in the here and now, feel safe in our body, and allow the emotions to gently move through the system, which is an amazing healing machine.

Please send me an email if you want to be included in the drawing for a free tapping session for January.

Wishing you peace and happiness!

Until next time, keep tapping!!

Letting Go vs. Giving up

This week I choose to write about letting go versus giving up.

When we let go, we allow things and experiences to come to us, sometimes these are the ones that we really long and yearn to have in our lives. Letting go carries the energy of relaxation and our bodies respond with ease. With letting go, we are still taking action but really staying detached from a certain outcome.

The idea of giving up carries the energy of inability or failure and it leaves us with feelings of guilt for not having enough or doing enough. Giving up comes from feeling desperate, weak, tired and exhausted and bodies also respond in the same way.

If you are trying to let go of something or if you feel a certain way for having given up on something or someone, tapping can gently bring you back to center by clearing the stuck energy in your system.

As we clear the stuck energy, we make space for infinite possibilities, opportunities, and miracles in our lives.

I took a workshop on Bach Flower remedies/essences a few months back. I have been using them for myself and my family with great success. I see these essences as a wonderful companion and compliment to tapping.

I also interviewed my friend Kristen Jensen Smith who is a Certified Bach Flower Practitioner to learn more about the flower essences. You can watch/listen to our conversation by clicking on the link below:

Please email me if you want to be included in the drawing for a free tapping session in December.

Wishing you peace and happiness!

Until next time, keep tapping.

The role of therapy in personal growth and transformation

We live in a fast-paced world and tend to hold on to stress unconsciously. In my opinion, every human being on this planet can benefit from therapy, because all of us need to be validated and heard at some point of time in our life by someone other than our friends and family. When we choose to go for therapy, we have someone who can hold us in a safe space and listen to what we have to say. Sometimes, just articulating our emotions and feelings to someone maybe for the first time, is what all of us need to feel better.

While there is still a lot of stigma about receiving counseling or therapy, having the awareness that something is out of balance in our lives, can lead to getting some help.

l’m not a counselor or a psychotherapist, but I have received therapy several years ago. I also had the privilege of working with a few therapists and counselors in the last few years. Therapy can be very valuable when we feel stuck and help us in terms of gaining clarity about what we want in our life.

While some of us may be blessed to receive some mentoring, guidance, and support from good friends and family members, some of us may still feel talking to a trained psychologist may be beneficial depending on the situation.

In my practice, I have some clients who also receive psychotherapy.  The insights gained in therapy become tappable targets, which gives a roadmap of what to work on during the next session.

What happens when we choose not to get the help that we need? We pass on the energy to our loved ones and people in our immediate environment. This doesn’t mean that we make noise or create  drama in our lives. We can remain tight-lipped and silent and still carry this energy of feeling stuck, which can be felt by everyone around us.

Here are some ways we can heal ourselves with or without seeking the support of a mental health professional.

Tapping – This is my number one choice, as it helps to move the stuck energy from our mind and body.

Meditation – Spending a few minutes in silence every day helps to change the neural pathways in our brain.

Mindfulness – I love practicing mindfulness throughout the day, which helps me to pause and listen, see, touch, taste, and feel my environment and all it takes is just two minutes.

Breathwork – Although there are different methods of breathing, the simplest way to begin breathwork, is by breathing in while counting to 4, holding the breath to a count of 4 and exhaling to a count of 4.

Journaling – Helps us to do a brain dump and free flow with our thoughts. When we journal regularly, we are also able to see our patterns, which can be very useful in helping and transforming ourselves.

In the next newsletter, you will be sent a link to register for two free group tapping calls that I’m hosting on October 20th, and October 27th from 5 pm to 6 pm PST. These calls will be an introduction for the group tapping program in November.

Please send me an email if you want to be included in the drawing for a free tapping session for the month of October.

Wishing you peace and happiness!!

Until next time, keep tapping!

The Power of Language

Language is power. Language can be used as a means of changing reality. – Adrienne Rich

Language creates reality. Words have power. Speak always to create joy. – Deepak Chopra

Words can inspire. Words can destroy. Choose yours well. – Robin Sharma

This week I choose to write about the power of language and how language has a huge influence on our mind, body, spirit and energy field.

“I can’t wait to get started” or “I can’t wait to watch it” these are very common phrases used by some of us when what we actually mean is I’m eagerly looking forward to starting the project or I’m very excited about this upcoming event.

If you say out loud the above statements, you can begin to notice a shift in your energy and vibration as there is a forward movement in our mindset.

Here are a few more examples: “I don’t want to get caught in the traffic”, “I don’t want to fall sick”, “I don’t want to be late for the appointment”, “I don’t want to fail” or “I don’t want to miss this opportunity”.

If we examine each of the above statements, we may notice that instead of saying or thinking about what we want, we are focusing on what we don’t want. There is really nothing wrong about it. Sometimes, knowing what we don’t want will lead us to what we do want.  Our brains are wired to think a certain way and it is a good idea to consciously change the language and choose words that shift us to the mindset of creation and positivity.

In EFT tapping, we always begin with stating the presenting issue and the emotions and this begins to move the energy and focus leading to better outcomes. As we begin to practice tapping on a regular basis, we are able to easily affirm what we want and not worry about what we don’t want.

Our subconscious mind does not interpret “No” and “Don’t”. Before focusing on any affirmations, it is better to tap on our doubts, fears, and worries, and sometimes that’s all we need to create space and momentum.

If language is this powerful, every time we speak about ourselves or others our psyche is constantly being programmed to think and feel a certain way.

Tapping can help us acknowledge what we don’t want, leading us to what we do want.

Please send me an email if you like to be added to the drawing for a free session in September.

Stay tuned for a group tapping program in November.
